Why skills
Instead of maintaining a roster of separate agents, your team runs one Hops and picks the skills it should have. When Hops responds using a skill, the message is attributed like Hops · Pipeline watch so it’s clear which skill shaped the answer. Skills cover the roles a team relies on:- Sales — pre-call prep, follow-ups, deal handoffs
- Ops — weekly reports, vendor onboarding, decision logs
- Marketing — campaign launches, content repurposing, brand copy
- Finance — monthly close, board prep, spend anomalies
- Legal — contract summaries, NDA prep, compliance Q&A
- Consulting / Professional Services — engagement kickoff, deliverables, client status
- Founders & Executives — weekly briefs, board deck prep, investor updates
- Product & Engineering — release notes, incident reviews, sprint summaries
- HR & People Ops — new-hire onboarding, JD drafts, policy Q&A
